GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system. This will allow fleets to easily transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be capable of wireless charging up to 75 kW.

We had the chance to test the EV9 for several hours on a local highway and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The EV9 can block the sound of traffic and wind driving on the highway. It glides effortlessly over ruts and humps. The vehicle's acceleration is surprising fast, and it comes with adjustable regenerative brakes that permit "one-pedal driving" simply by releasing the accelerator.

The EV9 is extremely reliable and can be fully charged in just three hours at home, or using any commercial charger. Drivers can choose between two operating modes that include eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode prioritizes torque and cruise control, as well as handling while sport mode maximizes speed. Both are fun to drive and provide an experience unlike any other for anyone that has never been in an electric vehicle before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other e-vehicle offerings including a multi-purpose all-electric mini bus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be used as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or transit bus, vanpool or paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower produces about 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 electric vehicles. GreenPower will increase production to meet the needs of the Biden Administration who is planning to electrify all school buses in America.
